Maryland Standard Residential Lease

The Maryland standard residential lease agreement is a legally binding agreement that exists between a homeowner and a tenant that obliges the tenant to pay rental fees over a given period. This agreement also legally obliges the landlord to certain duties as will be seen in this article. The renter will typically pay rent on the first of each month and a security deposit, which is typically equivalent to one (1) month's rent, at the beginning of the lease. Before signing a lease , it is strongly advised that the landlord confirm the tenant's qualifications via a rental application.
