Built-in eSignature is the most-voted feature on our roadmap, and we're building it now. We don't have a launch date yet — we'd rather ship it right than ship it on schedule. Here's where things stand.
What we're building, what we're not promising.
Most “coming soon” pages are marketing. This one isn't. Here's the honest version.
Real eSignature, native to DocsGenie.
- ESIGN/UETA-compliant legally binding signatures, valid in all 50 US states.
- Multi-party flows — landlord, tenant, co-signer, witness, all signing in sequence with reminders.
- Audit trail and certificates of completion — court-admissible records of who signed what, when, and from where.
- One workflow — generate the document and send for signature without leaving DocsGenie. No re-uploading, no second tool.
- Included in your subscription — no separate eSignature tier or per-signature charge.
The things we won't fake.
- A specific launch date. We've seen too many "coming Q3" announcements slip into the next year. We'll launch when it's solid.
- Feature parity with DocuSign. The MVP will cover the 90% of use cases — not the enterprise long tail. Bulk send, advanced templates, and CRM integrations come later.
- Signing of documents you didn't create with us. Like AI Edit, eSignature will work on DocsGenie-created documents first. Uploading external PDFs to sign comes later.
- That voting will guarantee a date. Votes inform priority, not timeline. We'll ship as fast as we can ship it well.

Multi-party signing flows
Sequential or parallel. Set who signs first, who signs second, who needs to witness. Automatic reminders if someone takes too long.
Audit trail & certificate
Every signature event logged: who, when, IP, identity verification level. Generates a court-admissible certificate of completion.
Reminders & expirations
Set a deadline for signature. We send reminders automatically. Expired requests can be re-sent in one click.
ESIGN & UETA compliant
Federal and state-level legally binding. Same legal weight as a wet-ink signature for nearly all contracts.
Email + in-product status
Signers get email links. You get real-time status in your DocsGenie dashboard. No bouncing between tabs.
