About DocsGenie

Legal documents shouldn't
require a law degree
or a subscription trap.

DocsGenie is what happens when you take 800+ attorney-reviewed templates, add an AI that drafts custom contracts, and refuse to play the games the rest of the legal-tech industry plays. No fake free trials. No retention dark patterns. Cancel in two clicks.

Make every legal document accessible, accurate, and honest.

The legal-tech industry has spent two decades building products that are technically useful but operationally hostile. "Free trials" that secretly auto-charge $40/month. Cancel buttons buried under five layers of retention offers. Pricing pages that hide what you'll actually pay until checkout.

We think people deserve better. The document you need shouldn't come bundled with a multi-month subscription you didn't agree to. The AI that drafts your contract should explain what it did. The cancel button should be exactly where it says it is.

So that's the company we're building. Same documents the big platforms have — leases, bills of sale, NDAs, wills, powers of attorney, employment agreements, freelance contracts. Better technology underneath them. None of the games.

DocsGenie is operated by Useful Media Limited, with US payments and customer-facing operations handled by its wholly-owned Delaware subsidiary Useful Innovations Inc. Your data is stored in the United States. We disclose this openly because we'd rather you know than discover it later.

Six things that shape everything we build.

01

Pricing should be visible from the homepage.

If you have to click three times to find what something costs, it's because the company is hoping you'll quit before you find out. We list every price upfront. $1 trial, $29/month, $120/year, $49 single document. That's it.

02

Free trials shouldn't be predatory.

Yes, our $1 trial converts to a paid subscription if you don't cancel — same as everyone else. But we send a reminder email 48 hours before the conversion. And cancellation is two clicks through Stripe's official portal. No retention specialist. No "are you sure?" gauntlet.

03

AI should make documents better, not weirder.

Templates fail when your situation is even slightly unusual — a co-signer, a prepayment, a non-standard term. Our AI Draft writes the document from scratch using your specifics. It explains every clause. It's transparent about credits used.

04

Templates need lawyers. AI needs guardrails.

Every template in our library is reviewed by attorneys for compliance with the laws of all 50 states. Our AI Draft applies state-specific rules automatically. Neither is a substitute for an attorney — and we'll always tell you when something needs one.

05

Your documents are yours, not ours.

Every document you create is exportable as PDF and DOCX. You can take them anywhere. We don't lock you in with proprietary formats or hold your data hostage. If you cancel, you get 30 days to download everything before deletion.

06

"Coming soon" is a promise, not marketing.

We have a public roadmap where you can vote on what we build next. eSignature is currently #1, and we're building it. We won't pretend a feature is shipping if it isn't.

What you actually get.
