Florida Standard Residential Lease

The Florida standard residential lease agreement is a standard legal document used for leasing a home, apartment, or other property for one (1) year. The contract also describes the duties and restrictions that the parties must follow for the duration of the agreement. Florida law compels the landlord to enable the elimination of any rodents or other pests. The landlord is also responsible for enabling trash pickup, security of the residence, access to safe shared areas, and working heat and water systems. However, if certain utilities and garbage pickups are necessary, tenants may be obliged to pay.
